How Attraction Marketing Can Be Used by the Network Marketer For Success

Attraction Marketing starts with from the basic premise of giving people what they need and want. In order for this to occur you have to intimately want to know what their needs, hopes, desires and pains are and genuinely want to help them. You have to first ask three basic questions which are:-

1) Who is the target market that you want to help?

2) What kinds of assistance are they wanting/needing, what are they thinking and talking about?

3) What are some of the issues that your offer can help address successfully?

These three questions if answered completely is an important first step in your ability to attract large numbers of highly interested prospects with a level of confidence that traditional methods cannot provide. Building your business and recruiting persons then is not as hard as traditional methods have made it, you just have to use this basic formula. And this applies to any type of product or service whether it be real estate, health and wellness, coaching, legal, consulting, travel and leisure, etc.

Let’s look at our three basic questions a little more closely. The first one – Who is our target market? This can be better amplified if we look at a specific market, say the health and wellness market. This is a huge and still growing market of persons are interested in functional health and longevity, those who would like to change their diet and lifestyle to avoid the statistical inevitability of disease as they grow older. This market may include those who are not happy with their current energy and well being levels, etc. The point is that a brainstorming exercise is necessary to begin to list all those stakeholders who consume in this market. An important place where clues could be had is the internet. You can do a search on Google or any other engine to gain a sense of who these stakeholders are and what they are looking for.

After you have listed your stakeholders, you then begin to brainstorm what would be their personal concerns, problems, fears as well as what they are thinking about, talking about, reading about, etc. Again the internet can provide great clues in this regard, especially if you can access any blogs or forums of your target market and read what the discussions are about.

You can begin to appreciate that there is nothing complicated in the process. All that is required is some effort. This process of brainstorming and doing some research on the internet should not be underestimated because it is all about knowing your target market intimately so that you can in the end really know what they want and what they need.

At this point it is necessary to point out the following. When a network marketer attempts to sell a product or service, what in fact he is selling is HIMSELF. This is not understood by the vast majority of persons involved in this business. If this were not so then prospects would buy or be recruited by anyone but as we well know, prospects are not recruited by anyone but by someone who they have come to know and trust. Prospects then have to buy into the network marketer first. They have to buy into someone who can really assist them in setting up and building their business, someone who can teach them the nuances of the business and who they can trust to point them in the right direction.

So that one has to sell himself as the person who can do all these things. The question then is – How do you sell yourself first before selling your prospect the opportunity?

You have to first build trust and pre-sell your prospects on you as a successful leader. The product being sold is in fact YOU, and when that is sold then you can easily achieve success with your offering. The prospect wants to know if you can lead them to success and this is first done by reflecting back to them what their needs and wants are and then providing them with plausible solutions before you introduce them to your offering.

Let’s now show how this can be done in an example. For this we go back to our first three basic questions:-

1) Who is our target market?

2) What kinds of things are they searching for, thinking or are concerned about?

3) What are their wants and needs, problems and what possible solutions can you provide?

Let’s use network marketers as our target market. Within this target market, the possible sub-categories can be:-

a) People who have been involved with a network marketing opportunity before.

b) People who are contemplating joining a network marketing opportunity but who are looking for a suitable offer/guide or up-line.

c) Entrepreneurs who are looking for new business opportunities.

We can expand this list but we will leave it at three sub-categories. It makes sense to target the first group because there will be less work involved, they having been already introduced to the concept and possibilities that network marketing offer. The second group may be novices who would have been introduced to the concept and are looking for the best opportunity and guide. The third group are persons who are desiring to have an extra stream of income and who also desire to eventually work from home perhaps. They have not been introduced to network marketing as yet but may be open to your opportunity.

For the first group – people who have been involved with network marketing before, we now answers the two questions;- a) What kinds of things are they searching for, thinking or are concerned about? And b) What are their wants and needs, problems and what possible solutions can you provide?

The answers to the first may be a marketing tool or system, a resource or expert, or a just a relevant book. They maybe looking for network marketing training on the internet or specifically how to generate genuine leads or information on how to build their MLM business. The list of things searched for, thought about or concerned about may be endless. One just has to do a search on Google to realize this.

The response then is for you to have your presence on the internet as one who can provide plausible advice and answers to these needs and wants without pushing your offering in the first instance.

And you do not need to have a website to do this. There are many free online services such as ezines or social media engines (Web 2.0) that will allow you to place your articles so that searchers can access them. These engines will also put your articles on the larger search engines such as Google and Yahoo where the real traffic is. You have to have some knowledge of search engine optimization for them to rank highly there.

Your articles are the main tool in your attraction marketing program and you must have enough of them so that your presence on the internet is substantial. Topics that can be written about are issues related to network marketing, a review on any such company, person, news, products or services, books, training, resources, etc. The following then is a list of topics (which is reflective of the problems they may have) which can be the basis of your articles:-

- Making money on the internet

- Spending less money on leads and finding better quality prospects

- Getting prospects attracted to them rather than pursuing prospects

- Choosing a better up-line

- A better way to build my network marketing business

- Getting effectiveness and efficiency with my network marketing business

- Clarity on what to do to build my network marketing business

- Effectively selling myself as a leader

- Creating more cash flow for my network marketing business

- What to say and do to sponsor more people

- How to use the internet to build the business smarter

The other two target markets identified earlier -

a) People who are contemplating joining a network marketing opportunity but who are looking for a suitable offer/guide or up-line,

b) Entrepreneurs who are looking for new business opportunities, should be treated in the same way that the first target market has been treated. These treatments can then form the basis of other articles to publish.

This then is your first activity of attraction marketing, getting your content on the internet. When this is done you will be surprised at the response had by interested searchers. As said before you have to post enough articles such that your web presence is substantial and you have to have a basic knowledge of search engine optimization in order for your articles to rank highly.

When these interested searchers respond, you then have to get their permission to send them more valuable content and this is done with the use of lead capture pages where they will provide you with their name, email address and telephone number (not mandatory). These correspondences will be your email marketing component of your attraction marketing program.

Your program of emails which are usually between ten and fifteen will then be sent one every five days or so and will be on subjects related to your prospects interests. The subjects of these emails can be on related books, interviews with industry coaches, information on MLM companies, information on network marketing related systems or topics, encouraging stories or tips, etc. In your email marketing you should also provide the opportunity for your readers to comment as provided in blogs. At the end of your articles you can now provide a link or make reference to your service or offering (which must be related to the subject), where a solution to the issue can be had. If you feel that your writing abilities are limited, you can easily higher expert writers at about $15.00 per article where you just provide them with the topic.

You can also use attraction marketing methods to sell other persons products or services. You may already be promoting a product or service (as an existing network or affiliate marketer) where your activity will now only be attracting prospects through your article marketing and directing them through links to your company’s lead capture page, from then on the company’s attraction marketing effort (if a suitable one exists) can then lead to a successful recruit of your prospect.

This then is a summary of the great benefits to be had by using attraction marketing techniques. A full expose on attraction marketing methods can be had at the Renegade Professional where this approach is outlined in workshop format in very great detail. You can also get at the Renegade Professional workshops on the following:- a) How to set up a lead capture page, b) How to set up a blog, c) How to set up an email marketing campaign with auto responders, d) How to write articles for the internet, e) How to use the telephone in your marketing campaigns, and many, many more topics that will complete your training in attraction marketing and make you the professional internet marketer that you can become.

Thank you for your kind attention.

5 Successful Negotiation Tips

Most of us negotiate on a daily basis without knowing it. Any time we enter into a discussion where we try to find common ground and agree an outcome with the other party, we are negotiating.

If we think that we have to bargain for something more than we are being offered, whether it is something that you want to achieve in your career, when you are buying something or just dealing with other people as you go about your daily business, we negotiate to get to a favourable outcome.

Whilst many people say that negotiation is an art, it can bring out the best and worst in people, depending upon how important the subject of discussion is to each individual involved. Whilst it can also be fun, negotiation is not generally a game that people can play anytime, as it usually means a dispute or tension of some kind. This is why so many people view negotiation as something to be avoided.

Since it involves two-way communication, the outcome of every negotiation is influenced by the mind-set, abilities, and techniques used by the parties to the negotiation. However, learning the right way of negotiating will vastly improve your chances of achieving a successful outcome and the following five tips for successful negotiation will help you:

1. Time it right
The outcome of any negotiation is dependent upon getting the timing right. To achieve this you should try to organize and plan the circumstances for the negotiation beforehand. This also involves considering the possible outcomes of the negotiation so that you can understand the variables that are most important to you, such as bonuses, price, delivery times, credit terms, guarantees, etc.

2. Manage yourself
Before you enter into a negotiation, you should evaluate yourself first. Are you able to manage your own feelings? Keep in mind that when emotions run high about the topic under discussion, the outcome is less likely to be as productive as it could be if the discussion is business-like.

3. Know what you are getting into
Do you know who are you dealing with? What are the traits, attitude, and beliefs of the person you’re going to negotiate with? Are they the type of person that is likely to work with you to achieve a win-win situation, i.e. one where both of you are satisfied with the outcome?

4. Be attentive. Learn to listen well!
One of the reasons why negotiations are unsuccessful or turn negative is that many people do not practice attentive listening. People are so busy stressing their points and stating their desires that they forget to listen properly to the other side of the discussion. Keep in mind that negotiating has to be a two-way communication to be effective – it will never work if the discussion is one- way traffic.

Experts say that in order to have a successful negotiation, people should learn to apply the so- called 80/20 ruling. This means that people should spend 80% of their time listening and only 20% talking. If you use this guideline you will definitely be able to understand the other side of the story, and be much more likely to achieve a successful negotiation outcome.

5. Be ready to walk away
Never be pressured to win a negotiation. Keep in mind that it may not always be a win-win situation for you. In fact, one of the greatest mistakes people commit is that they are too determined to achieve their own goals, such that they create an all or nothing scenario in their own minds.

You should always try to be open to alternative outcomes, so that you always have a choice. But, never assume when you negotiate that there is a point of no return. In your own preparation you should establish your own point for walking away if the negotiations are not going well for you and you have no chance of achieving the outcome that you are seeking.

Remember that successful negotiations always follow a logical pattern and if you use the above tips to plan your own approach you will definitely increase your chance of achieving the successful outcome that you desire.

Bill Gates WOWs us with Microsoft Windows Vista at CES Keynote

I just came back from my annual trip to CES to find the best iPod accessories and the latest technology for my company. This year, the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) celebrated his 40th birthday and was kicked off by the Bill Gates keynote on Sunday November 7 in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel. The event was sold out! 5,000 people attended and hundreds more people tried to get in without success. Security was tight! The focus of Bill Gates keynote was a showcase of the newest products from Microsoft including Windows Vista and the new Zune music player; Gates also gave us a glimpse into the future with products such as Ford (F) Sync and a demonstration of technology from the Microsoft futuristic house.

Here are some of the Windows Vista features demonstrated in the keynote. You can now play video files as the background of your desktop in Windows Vista. It was visually stunning! Another new feature was the Windows Photo Gallery where you can easily organize, find, and view pictures. With Windows Vista, you can also easily burn DVDs complete with a main menu and the play option, just like in commercial movies! This is definitely something the many Windows users will love to use! Windows Vista also provides enhanced capabilities to play games and access to XboxLive. Something really cool in Windows Vista is Windows Live with a lot of functionality such as Windows Live Search powered by Microsoft Virtual Earth, somewhat similar to Google (GOOG) 3-D application, Google Earth, which lets you view maps and satellite images for regional searches. The actual demonstration was very real. I felt like I was inside a video game, going down the Las Vegas strip and seeing hotels and traffic. What a trip! Windows Vista includes other impressive features such as Instant Search Box and Windows Sidebar & Gadgets to quickly access functionality, data, and files, Internet Explorer 7, which I have been using since the beta and that I love, Data Backup and Restore so you never lose information, and a lot more.

Windows Vista also features a digital entertainment system, called Windows Media Center (not included in Windows Vista Business Edition)–providing the ability to store and access live and recorded TV, movies, music, and pictures with an easy-to-use menu and remote –in one place. Very nice!

The new Microsoft Office 2007 was very impressive with major improvements in the look and feel and with key functionality at your fingertips to make it much easier for new users to be up and running quickly. Another benefit of Microsoft Office 2007 is that it also runs on Windows XP in case you do not want to upgrade to Windows Vista, just yet!

With Windows Easy Transfer, Microsoft makes it easier to transfer your data, user accounts, settings, photos, videos, and more to your new computer running Windows Vista. Belkin also offers the new Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista working in conjunction with Windows Easy Transfer to facilitate the transfer on your new computer.

However, if you upgrade, watch out that the software you run on your current version of Windows are all compatible with Windows Vista. You can check the Microsoft (MSFT) Web site to view a list of the software that work with or are certified for Windows Vista. Otherwise you may have some downtime struggling with software that may not run smoothly on Windows Vista.

To sum it up, Microsoft got really great reviews about Windows Vista, which won the Best of CES Award in the Computers and Hardware category. I must admit: it looks real tempting to upgrade!

Negotiation Mastery – Knowing When to Say When

Negotiation in business is a critical aspect to getting more accomplished and generating more valuable sales. Negotiation is founded upon principles but it could be argued that it is more art than science. The best negotiators are often brilliant strategists and gifted technicians but their perhaps most unsung trait is the mastery of the true art of negotiation. Let’s explore this a little more.

The basic fundamentals of negotiation call for careful planning and, in most cases, pursuit of a solution that leaves all parties better off than they were before. While these basic principles can guide and govern many negotiating scenarios, there is certainly more to it.

What is the art of negotiation? The art behind this critical business skill comes from the intangible ability to simply get the job done. For example, perhaps you have experienced a negotiation where you followed your plan to the letter and felt like you tactically handled it perfectly. The end result: the negotiations failed and you were left scratching your head as to how this could have happened.

Now consider a scenario where a negotiator also follows their plan, but only almost according to plan. Their tactics are sound but there seem to be some key elements missing. The end result: the negotiation is a dramatic success and, despite the negotiator’s apparent missteps, everything seemed to work out great. What was the difference?

As you may be gathering, the answer to what differed between these two scenarios may not be readily apparent. The negotiator who seemed to do everything perfectly failed and the one who seemed to stray away from the original plan had more success. What gives? The answer lies in the intangible nuances of human nature.

Chances are, the successful negotiator from our example probably sensed the need to change his or her course during the negotiation. This could have been based upon a specific response from the other party, body language, or just an instinctual feel for how things were proceeding. They adjusted their plan, perhaps stopping short of seeking all the objectives they originally set out to achieve. They may have even offered an additional incentive to the opposite party.

While this approach may not immediately make sense, it is highly effective. Sure, we all have an agenda when it comes to negotiations. However, asking for too much puts the entire agenda at risk, while knowing when to say when may eliminate a single objective but leave the rest intact and still satisfy all parties when the day is done. The ability to recognize the need for this and know when to change the plan is an art that the best negotiators have mastered. Even they may not know exactly how they do it; it’s just a feel for the process that makes them great.

This feel for negotiation comes from two key things: experience and attentiveness to the other party in the negotiation. The take home message is to pay attention and be involved in as many negotiations as you possibly can. These elements will make you better and will help hone your feel for the process that will make you better over time.

In summary, you can call it a sixth sense, a gut instinct, or whatever you wish, but the art of negotiation comes not from a textbook, but from within each of us. Knowing when to say when, when to not press for that extra benefit you would like to have, is what sets the best negotiators apart from the rest of the world. It is their artistry that can inspire all of us to reach new heights in business.

Reasons Why You Should Hire A Franchise Lawyer

A contract is binding. When one signs on a contract, it cannot be broken. The terms and agreements apply.

A franchise agreement is a binding contract. It defines the obligations and rights between the franchisee and the franchisor. A franchise lawyer comes in between. He reviews the contract as well as the agreement both parties signed on.

Franchise lawyers are credible to handle unique franchise agreements. For example, duplication of the concept of a business can provide consistent services. The consistency allows franchisors to establish a brand identified to them. They can also have franchised locations that are associated through networking lead to the total reinforcing of the brand to their image.

The franchisor must be protective of its brand. It also has the power to dictate issues that is indicated in a franchise agreement. Franchise attorneys must know the legality of the conditions as presented by both parties – the franchisor and the franchisee.

The franchise lawyer’s task is to provide the consistency between the franchisor and franchisee in order to protect the brand. He also dictates the issues that are covered in the contract both parties signed.

If the franchise lawyer does not have the experience to comprehend these franchise matters, there is a tendency for the stipulations to be misinterpreted and his decisions are biased and favor the franchisor.

Therefore, you, the businessman, must have a financial lawyer you trust beside you when making investment decisions. A franchise lawyer specializes on those matters and would gladly review the franchise agreement before you sign.

A credible and well-reputed franchise lawyer separates the contract terms as well as the acceptable obligations set amidst the common practices in a relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee. He weighs out what is unusual or extreme.

Franchise lawyers can help businessmen negotiate with the franchisor. At least by having them on your side, you would get an explanation on the changes the franchisor would like to make and those that have the possibility to be rejected. He may also help you evaluate the opportunity after buying the franchise, as well as coming up with your future business plan.

However, hiring a well-reputed franchise lawyer is not an easy task. Ask anyone who often invests in franchise, inquire for of they know someone they can refer. Try to also ask your own attorneys or accountants whether they know a lawyer who specializes in franchising.

Also, franchise lawyers must be fully informed of all the regulations upon purchasing the franchise. FTC Franchise Regulations require the disclosure of all information such as advertising, licensing, contracting, sales and other promotions of the franchise.

Disclosures that often create an argument between franchisor and the franchisee are:

- the name of the franchisor

- any fictitious name of the franchisor

- franchisor’s trademark

- the last five years business experience of the officers and directors

- whether the franchisor, officer, or director have been involved in any actions of fraud during the last seven years

- terms of the franchise agreement including details on how to modify, terminate or sell it

As a businessman, you can expand your own business instead of selling what you already sold to others. Be the franchisee and not the franchisor. If your company owns and runs a successful franchise, expect lotsa cash rolling in.

Thanks to a franchise lawyer, each move you make regarding the expansion of your business will be legal and guaranteed.

Before making a responsible decision involving franchising your business or investing in a computer repair franchise, you should get all the information you can regarding the matter. Our website, Franchising My Business offers news, tips and advice to help you through this decision making process.

Internet Forums – Six Ways To Avoid Disaster

Internet Forums are highly popular, they cater for all tastes and deal with every topic imaginable. People visit Internet forums for a variety of reasons, the most common being the search for information or entertainment. The Internet forum is a safe environment if you behave sensibly but you can find yourself in dangerous territory if you ignore the following warnings.

Don’t Join Internet Forum Flame Wars

An Internet Forum flame war is to be avoided at all costs. The airing of differing points of view, debate and discussion are healthy things for an Internet forum: they keep it lively. An Internet forum flame war can make entertaining reading but don’t be tempted to join in or start one. If you make a habit of leaping into forum flame wars, you will acquire a reputation as a trouble-maker and you could find yourself barred from a forum because of your behaviour. Another good reason for avoiding forum flame wars is that you could find yourself caught in the crossfire. Before you know it, people will be firing at you from every direction when all you intended to do was have a bit of fun.

Don’t Make Jokes On An Internet Forum

Well, you can if you really must, but remember that the Internet forum has the same drawback as email: the reader can’t see your expression or gestures. The smile, shrug or grimace which can lift your comment from serious to humorous will be missing and your message will be something which the reader has to interpret. If the reader gets it wrong, you might very well find that you just started your very own Internet forum flame war quite unintentionally. You can safely tell a joke on a forum (provided that your joke’s content is appropriate) but sarcasm and irony are dangerous and best avoided.

Don’t Be An Internet Forum Drama Queen

The Internet forum is not a suitable stage for you to perform your very own drama. If you flounce about making extravagant statements merely for effect, you will be the object of ridicule by other forum members even if nobody tells you so. If you are a member of a support forum for a particular programme, it is quite in order to post a message to the forum saying something along the lines of “I’ve started to feel unsure about [whatever], I don’t think it’s going to work out unless I make some changes. Can anybody suggest what I should try next?” Compare this to the next post in drama queen style: “I quit! This Sucks. I’ve done everything right so it must be this ****ing programme. You will never hear from me again!” Which forum member would you want to help? There will be kind people who feel the drama queen’s pain and offer support and suggestions. When the drama queen makes a big re-entrance to the forum after a few days sulking, posts “I’m back!” and expresses a resolve to work diligently towards success, the kind people who offered support will feel that their advice must have done the trick. When the forum drama queen posts another “Goodbye Forever!” message, the same kind people will empathise as the drama queen is obviously being affected by an emotional roller coaster and they will offer further sound advice. The kind forum members will be pleased when the drama queen makes a further “I’m Back And Here To Stay!” recovery. By about the third or fourth “I Quit!” drama, even the kindest people will be wishing the drama queen had stayed quit the first time round and Internet forum credibility for the drama queen ends there.

Don’t Be An Internet Forum Puppy

A real puppy can’t help chasing after everything that moves, getting under people’s feet and being hyperactive to the point where it sometimes becomes annoying: that’s just its nature. The Internet forum member who behaves like a puppy can help it and should desist. I am talking about the person who joins an Internet forum for the sole purpose of getting the links in his signature file on the forum as often as possible. The annoying forum puppy will respond to every message posted whether he knows anything about the subject or not. He will post messages which are of no value to anyone, these messages will range from boring pointless observations to obscure drivel to requests to poll an unimportant question which bears no relevance to the forum. If you are desperate to plaster your signature file all over the place, join lots of Internet forums and just post a few messages on each. With any luck, you will grow out of this time-wasting pursuit before the other forum members form a lynching party.

Don’t Be An Internet Forum Seconder

Have you ever come across Mr Me Too? If you have, you will know who I mean. He is about as annoying as the Internet forum puppy. Mr Me Too will post a response to every thread that appears on a forum. It won’t take him long as he won’t bother to read through the thread, all he will do is add a comment saying “me too” or “I agree”. This gets his signature file posted with the link back to his website and that’s all he wants. Mr Me Too does not go to the Internet forum for entertainment or information or to contribute anything useful. If you are subscribed to a forum thread and receive notification that someone has posted a further message on the topic, it is very irritating to log in at the forum only to find that someone has posted a message saying “me too” or “I agree” just to give his signature file an airing. It is sadly true that the Internet forum puppy and Mr Me Too will get their links on the Internet alongside the forum members who post meaningful messages. When the day arrives that Search Engine Robots are able to distinguish the difference between valuable forum messages and drivel, those two offenders will find that it’s pay back time for their transgressions.

Don’t Attack The Internet Forum Moderators

If you have a message removed or edited by an Internet forum moderator, there will be a reason, so don’t post complaints on the forum. Even if you don’t understand or don’t agree with the decision, there is no point in arguing. Attacking a moderator is like holding up a placard saying “I’m a pest, throw me out”. The moderators are there to ensure the Internet forum is kept to the required standard. Remember that somebody owns this forum and invests time and energy in keeping the environment — well — moderate. The Internet forum is not your private sand-pit, you are a guest and if your behaviour is not appropriate, your invitation to play could be withdrawn. You should also remember that anything you post on an Internet forum will be available for public scrutiny for years to come.

The dictionary definition of the verb to moderate is: “to keep within measure or bounds; to regulate; to reduce in intensity; to make temperate or reasonable”. If this does not sound like your kind of environment, perhaps you should stay away from Internet forums.
