Attraction Marketing starts with from the basic premise of giving people what they need and want. In order for this to occur you have to intimately want to know what their needs, hopes, desires and pains are and genuinely want to help them. You have to first ask three basic questions which are:-

1) Who is the target market that you want to help?

2) What kinds of assistance are they wanting/needing, what are they thinking and talking about?

3) What are some of the issues that your offer can help address successfully?

These three questions if answered completely is an important first step in your ability to attract large numbers of highly interested prospects with a level of confidence that traditional methods cannot provide. Building your business and recruiting persons then is not as hard as traditional methods have made it, you just have to use this basic formula. And this applies to any type of product or service whether it be real estate, health and wellness, coaching, legal, consulting, travel and leisure, etc.

Let’s look at our three basic questions a little more closely. The first one – Who is our target market? This can be better amplified if we look at a specific market, say the health and wellness market. This is a huge and still growing market of persons are interested in functional health and longevity, those who would like to change their diet and lifestyle to avoid the statistical inevitability of disease as they grow older. This market may include those who are not happy with their current energy and well being levels, etc. The point is that a brainstorming exercise is necessary to begin to list all those stakeholders who consume in this market. An important place where clues could be had is the internet. You can do a search on Google or any other engine to gain a sense of who these stakeholders are and what they are looking for.

After you have listed your stakeholders, you then begin to brainstorm what would be their personal concerns, problems, fears as well as what they are thinking about, talking about, reading about, etc. Again the internet can provide great clues in this regard, especially if you can access any blogs or forums of your target market and read what the discussions are about.

You can begin to appreciate that there is nothing complicated in the process. All that is required is some effort. This process of brainstorming and doing some research on the internet should not be underestimated because it is all about knowing your target market intimately so that you can in the end really know what they want and what they need.

At this point it is necessary to point out the following. When a network marketer attempts to sell a product or service, what in fact he is selling is HIMSELF. This is not understood by the vast majority of persons involved in this business. If this were not so then prospects would buy or be recruited by anyone but as we well know, prospects are not recruited by anyone but by someone who they have come to know and trust. Prospects then have to buy into the network marketer first. They have to buy into someone who can really assist them in setting up and building their business, someone who can teach them the nuances of the business and who they can trust to point them in the right direction.

So that one has to sell himself as the person who can do all these things. The question then is – How do you sell yourself first before selling your prospect the opportunity?

You have to first build trust and pre-sell your prospects on you as a successful leader. The product being sold is in fact YOU, and when that is sold then you can easily achieve success with your offering. The prospect wants to know if you can lead them to success and this is first done by reflecting back to them what their needs and wants are and then providing them with plausible solutions before you introduce them to your offering.

Let’s now show how this can be done in an example. For this we go back to our first three basic questions:-

1) Who is our target market?

2) What kinds of things are they searching for, thinking or are concerned about?

3) What are their wants and needs, problems and what possible solutions can you provide?

Let’s use network marketers as our target market. Within this target market, the possible sub-categories can be:-

a) People who have been involved with a network marketing opportunity before.

b) People who are contemplating joining a network marketing opportunity but who are looking for a suitable offer/guide or up-line.

c) Entrepreneurs who are looking for new business opportunities.

We can expand this list but we will leave it at three sub-categories. It makes sense to target the first group because there will be less work involved, they having been already introduced to the concept and possibilities that network marketing offer. The second group may be novices who would have been introduced to the concept and are looking for the best opportunity and guide. The third group are persons who are desiring to have an extra stream of income and who also desire to eventually work from home perhaps. They have not been introduced to network marketing as yet but may be open to your opportunity.

For the first group – people who have been involved with network marketing before, we now answers the two questions;- a) What kinds of things are they searching for, thinking or are concerned about? And b) What are their wants and needs, problems and what possible solutions can you provide?

The answers to the first may be a marketing tool or system, a resource or expert, or a just a relevant book. They maybe looking for network marketing training on the internet or specifically how to generate genuine leads or information on how to build their MLM business. The list of things searched for, thought about or concerned about may be endless. One just has to do a search on Google to realize this.

The response then is for you to have your presence on the internet as one who can provide plausible advice and answers to these needs and wants without pushing your offering in the first instance.

And you do not need to have a website to do this. There are many free online services such as ezines or social media engines (Web 2.0) that will allow you to place your articles so that searchers can access them. These engines will also put your articles on the larger search engines such as Google and Yahoo where the real traffic is. You have to have some knowledge of search engine optimization for them to rank highly there.

Your articles are the main tool in your attraction marketing program and you must have enough of them so that your presence on the internet is substantial. Topics that can be written about are issues related to network marketing, a review on any such company, person, news, products or services, books, training, resources, etc. The following then is a list of topics (which is reflective of the problems they may have) which can be the basis of your articles:-

- Making money on the internet

- Spending less money on leads and finding better quality prospects

- Getting prospects attracted to them rather than pursuing prospects

- Choosing a better up-line

- A better way to build my network marketing business

- Getting effectiveness and efficiency with my network marketing business

- Clarity on what to do to build my network marketing business

- Effectively selling myself as a leader

- Creating more cash flow for my network marketing business

- What to say and do to sponsor more people

- How to use the internet to build the business smarter

The other two target markets identified earlier -

a) People who are contemplating joining a network marketing opportunity but who are looking for a suitable offer/guide or up-line,

b) Entrepreneurs who are looking for new business opportunities, should be treated in the same way that the first target market has been treated. These treatments can then form the basis of other articles to publish.

This then is your first activity of attraction marketing, getting your content on the internet. When this is done you will be surprised at the response had by interested searchers. As said before you have to post enough articles such that your web presence is substantial and you have to have a basic knowledge of search engine optimization in order for your articles to rank highly.

When these interested searchers respond, you then have to get their permission to send them more valuable content and this is done with the use of lead capture pages where they will provide you with their name, email address and telephone number (not mandatory). These correspondences will be your email marketing component of your attraction marketing program.

Your program of emails which are usually between ten and fifteen will then be sent one every five days or so and will be on subjects related to your prospects interests. The subjects of these emails can be on related books, interviews with industry coaches, information on MLM companies, information on network marketing related systems or topics, encouraging stories or tips, etc. In your email marketing you should also provide the opportunity for your readers to comment as provided in blogs. At the end of your articles you can now provide a link or make reference to your service or offering (which must be related to the subject), where a solution to the issue can be had. If you feel that your writing abilities are limited, you can easily higher expert writers at about $15.00 per article where you just provide them with the topic.

You can also use attraction marketing methods to sell other persons products or services. You may already be promoting a product or service (as an existing network or affiliate marketer) where your activity will now only be attracting prospects through your article marketing and directing them through links to your company’s lead capture page, from then on the company’s attraction marketing effort (if a suitable one exists) can then lead to a successful recruit of your prospect.

This then is a summary of the great benefits to be had by using attraction marketing techniques. A full expose on attraction marketing methods can be had at the Renegade Professional where this approach is outlined in workshop format in very great detail. You can also get at the Renegade Professional workshops on the following:- a) How to set up a lead capture page, b) How to set up a blog, c) How to set up an email marketing campaign with auto responders, d) How to write articles for the internet, e) How to use the telephone in your marketing campaigns, and many, many more topics that will complete your training in attraction marketing and make you the professional internet marketer that you can become.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Most of us negotiate on a daily basis without knowing it. Any time we enter into a discussion where we try to find common ground and agree an outcome with the other party, we are negotiating.

If we think that we have to bargain for something more than we are being offered, whether it is something that you want to achieve in your career, when you are buying something or just dealing with other people as you go about your daily business, we negotiate to get to a favourable outcome.

Whilst many people say that negotiation is an art, it can bring out the best and worst in people, depending upon how important the subject of discussion is to each individual involved. Whilst it can also be fun, negotiation is not generally a game that people can play anytime, as it usually means a dispute or tension of some kind. This is why so many people view negotiation as something to be avoided.

Since it involves two-way communication, the outcome of every negotiation is influenced by the mind-set, abilities, and techniques used by the parties to the negotiation. However, learning the right way of negotiating will vastly improve your chances of achieving a successful outcome and the following five tips for successful negotiation will help you:

1. Time it right
The outcome of any negotiation is dependent upon getting the timing right. To achieve this you should try to organize and plan the circumstances for the negotiation beforehand. This also involves considering the possible outcomes of the negotiation so that you can understand the variables that are most important to you, such as bonuses, price, delivery times, credit terms, guarantees, etc.

2. Manage yourself
Before you enter into a negotiation, you should evaluate yourself first. Are you able to manage your own feelings? Keep in mind that when emotions run high about the topic under discussion, the outcome is less likely to be as productive as it could be if the discussion is business-like.

3. Know what you are getting into
Do you know who are you dealing with? What are the traits, attitude, and beliefs of the person you’re going to negotiate with? Are they the type of person that is likely to work with you to achieve a win-win situation, i.e. one where both of you are satisfied with the outcome?

4. Be attentive. Learn to listen well!
One of the reasons why negotiations are unsuccessful or turn negative is that many people do not practice attentive listening. People are so busy stressing their points and stating their desires that they forget to listen properly to the other side of the discussion. Keep in mind that negotiating has to be a two-way communication to be effective – it will never work if the discussion is one- way traffic.

Experts say that in order to have a successful negotiation, people should learn to apply the so- called 80/20 ruling. This means that people should spend 80% of their time listening and only 20% talking. If you use this guideline you will definitely be able to understand the other side of the story, and be much more likely to achieve a successful negotiation outcome.

5. Be ready to walk away
Never be pressured to win a negotiation. Keep in mind that it may not always be a win-win situation for you. In fact, one of the greatest mistakes people commit is that they are too determined to achieve their own goals, such that they create an all or nothing scenario in their own minds.

You should always try to be open to alternative outcomes, so that you always have a choice. But, never assume when you negotiate that there is a point of no return. In your own preparation you should establish your own point for walking away if the negotiations are not going well for you and you have no chance of achieving the outcome that you are seeking.

Remember that successful negotiations always follow a logical pattern and if you use the above tips to plan your own approach you will definitely increase your chance of achieving the successful outcome that you desire.

Bill Gates WOWs us with new products from Microsoft such as Windows Vista at the sold out CES keynote and by giving us a glimpse into the future with futuristic products.

I just came back from my annual trip to CES to find the best iPod accessories and the latest technology for my company. This year, the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) celebrated his 40th birthday and was kicked off by the Bill Gates keynote on Sunday November 7 in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel. The event was sold out! 5,000 people attended and hundreds more people tried to get in without success. Security was tight! The focus of Bill Gates keynote was a showcase of the newest products from Microsoft including Windows Vista and the new Zune music player; Gates also gave us a glimpse into the future with products such as Ford (F) Sync and a demonstration of technology from the Microsoft futuristic house.

Here are some of the Windows Vista features demonstrated in the keynote. You can now play video files as the background of your desktop in Windows Vista. It was visually stunning! Another new feature was the Windows Photo Gallery where you can easily organize, find, and view pictures. With Windows Vista, you can also easily burn DVDs complete with a main menu and the play option, just like in commercial movies! This is definitely something the many Windows users will love to use! Windows Vista also provides enhanced capabilities to play games and access to XboxLive. Something really cool in Windows Vista is Windows Live with a lot of functionality such as Windows Live Search powered by Microsoft Virtual Earth, somewhat similar to Google (GOOG) 3-D application, Google Earth, which lets you view maps and satellite images for regional searches. The actual demonstration was very real. I felt like I was inside a video game, going down the Las Vegas strip and seeing hotels and traffic. What a trip! Windows Vista includes other impressive features such as Instant Search Box and Windows Sidebar & Gadgets to quickly access functionality, data, and files, Internet Explorer 7, which I have been using since the beta and that I love, Data Backup and Restore so you never lose information, and a lot more.

Windows Vista also features a digital entertainment system, called Windows Media Center (not included in Windows Vista Business Edition)–providing the ability to store and access live and recorded TV, movies, music, and pictures with an easy-to-use menu and remote –in one place. Very nice!

The new Microsoft Office 2007 was very impressive with major improvements in the look and feel and with key functionality at your fingertips to make it much easier for new users to be up and running quickly. Another benefit of Microsoft Office 2007 is that it also runs on Windows XP in case you do not want to upgrade to Windows Vista, just yet!

With Windows Easy Transfer, Microsoft makes it easier to transfer your data, user accounts, settings, photos, videos, and more to your new computer running Windows Vista. Belkin also offers the new Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista working in conjunction with Windows Easy Transfer to facilitate the transfer on your new computer.

However, if you upgrade, watch out that the software you run on your current version of Windows are all compatible with Windows Vista. You can check the Microsoft (MSFT) Web site to view a list of the software that work with or are certified for Windows Vista. Otherwise you may have some downtime struggling with software that may not run smoothly on Windows Vista.

To sum it up, Microsoft got really great reviews about Windows Vista, which won the Best of CES Award in the Computers and Hardware category. I must admit: it looks real tempting to upgrade!

Negotiation in business is a critical aspect to getting more accomplished and generating more valuable sales. Negotiation is founded upon principles but it could be argued that it is more art than science. The best negotiators are often brilliant strategists and gifted technicians but their perhaps most unsung trait is the mastery of the true art of negotiation. Let’s explore this a little more.

The basic fundamentals of negotiation call for careful planning and, in most cases, pursuit of a solution that leaves all parties better off than they were before. While these basic principles can guide and govern many negotiating scenarios, there is certainly more to it.

What is the art of negotiation? The art behind this critical business skill comes from the intangible ability to simply get the job done. For example, perhaps you have experienced a negotiation where you followed your plan to the letter and felt like you tactically handled it perfectly. The end result: the negotiations failed and you were left scratching your head as to how this could have happened.

Now consider a scenario where a negotiator also follows their plan, but only almost according to plan. Their tactics are sound but there seem to be some key elements missing. The end result: the negotiation is a dramatic success and, despite the negotiator’s apparent missteps, everything seemed to work out great. What was the difference?

As you may be gathering, the answer to what differed between these two scenarios may not be readily apparent. The negotiator who seemed to do everything perfectly failed and the one who seemed to stray away from the original plan had more success. What gives? The answer lies in the intangible nuances of human nature.

Chances are, the successful negotiator from our example probably sensed the need to change his or her course during the negotiation. This could have been based upon a specific response from the other party, body language, or just an instinctual feel for how things were proceeding. They adjusted their plan, perhaps stopping short of seeking all the objectives they originally set out to achieve. They may have even offered an additional incentive to the opposite party.

While this approach may not immediately make sense, it is highly effective. Sure, we all have an agenda when it comes to negotiations. However, asking for too much puts the entire agenda at risk, while knowing when to say when may eliminate a single objective but leave the rest intact and still satisfy all parties when the day is done. The ability to recognize the need for this and know when to change the plan is an art that the best negotiators have mastered. Even they may not know exactly how they do it; it’s just a feel for the process that makes them great.

This feel for negotiation comes from two key things: experience and attentiveness to the other party in the negotiation. The take home message is to pay attention and be involved in as many negotiations as you possibly can. These elements will make you better and will help hone your feel for the process that will make you better over time.

In summary, you can call it a sixth sense, a gut instinct, or whatever you wish, but the art of negotiation comes not from a textbook, but from within each of us. Knowing when to say when, when to not press for that extra benefit you would like to have, is what sets the best negotiators apart from the rest of the world. It is their artistry that can inspire all of us to reach new heights in business.

A contract is binding. When one signs on a contract, it cannot be broken. The terms and agreements apply.

A franchise agreement is a binding contract. It defines the obligations and rights between the franchisee and the franchisor. A franchise lawyer comes in between. He reviews the contract as well as the agreement both parties signed on.

Franchise lawyers are credible to handle unique franchise agreements. For example, duplication of the concept of a business can provide consistent services. The consistency allows franchisors to establish a brand identified to them. They can also have franchised locations that are associated through networking lead to the total reinforcing of the brand to their image.

The franchisor must be protective of its brand. It also has the power to dictate issues that is indicated in a franchise agreement. Franchise attorneys must know the legality of the conditions as presented by both parties – the franchisor and the franchisee.

The franchise lawyer’s task is to provide the consistency between the franchisor and franchisee in order to protect the brand. He also dictates the issues that are covered in the contract both parties signed.

If the franchise lawyer does not have the experience to comprehend these franchise matters, there is a tendency for the stipulations to be misinterpreted and his decisions are biased and favor the franchisor.

Therefore, you, the businessman, must have a financial lawyer you trust beside you when making investment decisions. A franchise lawyer specializes on those matters and would gladly review the franchise agreement before you sign.

A credible and well-reputed franchise lawyer separates the contract terms as well as the acceptable obligations set amidst the common practices in a relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee. He weighs out what is unusual or extreme.

Franchise lawyers can help businessmen negotiate with the franchisor. At least by having them on your side, you would get an explanation on the changes the franchisor would like to make and those that have the possibility to be rejected. He may also help you evaluate the opportunity after buying the franchise, as well as coming up with your future business plan.

However, hiring a well-reputed franchise lawyer is not an easy task. Ask anyone who often invests in franchise, inquire for of they know someone they can refer. Try to also ask your own attorneys or accountants whether they know a lawyer who specializes in franchising.

Also, franchise lawyers must be fully informed of all the regulations upon purchasing the franchise. FTC Franchise Regulations require the disclosure of all information such as advertising, licensing, contracting, sales and other promotions of the franchise.

Disclosures that often create an argument between franchisor and the franchisee are:

- the name of the franchisor

- any fictitious name of the franchisor

- franchisor’s trademark

- the last five years business experience of the officers and directors

- whether the franchisor, officer, or director have been involved in any actions of fraud during the last seven years

- terms of the franchise agreement including details on how to modify, terminate or sell it

As a businessman, you can expand your own business instead of selling what you already sold to others. Be the franchisee and not the franchisor. If your company owns and runs a successful franchise, expect lotsa cash rolling in.

Thanks to a franchise lawyer, each move you make regarding the expansion of your business will be legal and guaranteed.

Before making a responsible decision involving franchising your business or investing in a computer repair franchise, you should get all the information you can regarding the matter. Our website, Franchising My Business offers news, tips and advice to help you through this decision making process.

A must for the professional Internet marketer is knowing how to build a business list of clients or subscribers that you can mail your affiliate program, product or service.

First you need to Build a Business List of people that want or buy stuff already. You have to ask the right questions when your Building a Business List. 1) Are they buying stuff now? 2) Are there lots of people spending money to reach them? (type the product or service in Google and see who is advertising on the right side). These are ads that people are paying Goggle to run. If you want to sell a how to book ” How to play better golf a-z” you would Google “How to play better golf a-z” then look on the right side and see who’s selling that product. You want to know that purple are spending money to sell the product you want to sell. This will give a you good Idea if your product is one the people are buying now and start Building a Business List. 3 Use ClickBank.com to determine if the market is buying long term and not a fade.

We tested hundreds of Business List Building systems some are good most are old and poor programming. Kevin Sipe who is a SEO expert has his new system that just came out. program makes it easy to make Capture Pages. Type in SEO Capture Pages on a Google search and look for yourself also search under SEO web-site designing.

Here is the Ugly Truth about Business List Building, some people will not buy it (your products- service). Some may never buy your stuff. But almost all of them will buy something at some other time. 1) Treat your list Right, even small lists, they will make you money if you treat them with Respect. Even if you stop Building a Business list if they are a Quality list you can earn from them for years, because they like and respect you as a friend and an Authoritative figure.. 2) Only mail your list cool stuff and things that you would like to receive in your email box. Your list is already getting bombarded with junk mail they don’t want. You want to send them emails that they enjoy opening because your always giving something of Value to them.

OK here is the Big Secret Formula for List Building: 1) Find something that will help your market and will be of Value to your people. 2) You want to offer your list something for free in Exchange for their email address. 3) Do that A LOT! That is List Building 101.

Here are the Mechanics of How Business List Building Works. Send Traffic to your Webpages or Capture page. Offer the Free thing to get their email address and then send them to another page about their free stuff. Some will join your Business list and some will buy your stuff. It’s that Easy.
Here are 4 Big questions that pop up. 1) How do I get Traffic? The big question.. 2) What do I give away? 3) How do I turn Leads Into Buyers” 4) How do I set all the stuff up?

First question Traffic: You either buy it or get it from JV partners. The big boys or the Guru Business List Builders just buy their traffic. Google adwords – Yahoo paid search – Banners – CPM mail drops. 1.) Traffic turns into leads 2.) The leads turn into buyers 3.) The buyers turn into repeat buyers.

When Building a Business List you need to make more money then you spend on leads, so let’s do the Math. 1.) If you spend 10 cents per visitor and you get 100 visitors to you Web Page or Capture Page it will cost you $100.00. 2.) If your Opt In page (Capture Page) converts at 20% (which is about normal for “Cold Traffic” you’d end up with 200 leads from that original 1000 visitors (Traffic). That’s 50 cents a lead per subscriber. Here is the Cool part. OK lets say you convert only 3% of your leads into Buyers in the 1st week of having them. 200 x 3% = 6 sales. If your selling something for $97.00 you would make $582.00. Take out the $100 you spent for traffic and your net is $482.00 minus what you product cost? The Best part is the you still have the list or leads so now you can offer them other cool stuff. There are still 196 people that have not bought anything. Believe me they are as good as money in the Bank. The Internet Millionaire guy that taught me Business List Building made over $1,000,000 on one of his lists of just over 7,000 subscribers the last 2 years. What’s Great is that you already have a net profit from having 6 people buy in the first week you started Building your Business List. Now the list you built is all pure profit when you mail these people in the future with other cool products and services.

Are you in a MLM or Network Marketing company? List Building will help your recruiting big time. One Online marketer I know is very good at List Building. She loves MLM and Internet businesses and by the way she buys most of her leads like I explained above. In one company last year she brought in over 800 personal sign-ups by herself. That’s what I’m going to Teach everyone to do. So now you can run with the Big Hitter List Builders and blow right passed them.

Next Big Question is “What do I give away? 1.) The Old Stand by Free Reports. 2.) Down-loadable Audios. 3.) Videos are really hot. 4.) As long as its something your prospects can benefit from and get Value for, your Good.

Next How do I turn People into Buyers? This is what nobody really teaches in Business List Building. What people even most Gurus don’t realize is the money isn’t really in the list. It’s in the Relationships with your list! Once you Create a Great Relationship with your list, your set for Life!
Simple Steps: Rise above the Noise and Be Different. No Hype Stand up and Step up. Give Excellent Value to your list or subscribers. Be a strait shooter (NO Bull) Help people decide they want your stuff instead of convincing them. Use audios, videos, teleseminars and email to communicate with your list.

Why This Works: You and I primarily Trust two people. A friend or a person of Authority. This is Human Nature and never has and never will change. The system I’m going to teach you does both.
In the next segment of Business List Building 101 we will show you how to set up Auto responders for follow up messages to your list. Also we will show you how to build Capture Pages with our system, it is so easy you will be a pro instantly.

Well this should give you a good start to building your list. I believe that if you do what we tell you to do and stick to it you will be the best marketer you can be. And that’s all you can ask for in the crazy thing called Life. Smile your on your way. And no your not going to learn everything in one day. So relax and work day to day this is called your DMO or Daily Method of Operation.

Renewable energy is really getting the attention it needs. Today fossil energy reserves are depleting and focus is shifting to others sources of energy that replace these traditional energy sources. The focus is on these energy sources and not without reason. It is environmentally friendly and an almost unlimited source of energy. International energy ministers and advocates together with different non-governmental organizations and environmentalists are joining efforts to promote utilization of this energy. All over the world governments are awarding grants and incentives for the development of renewable energy systems.

But what is it? How do we use it today and how can we use it better in the future? Will it solve our energy problems we experience today? What price do we have to pay to these new energy sources? All these questions and more are hot subjects that are discussed by many all over the world. Let’s start here with the simplest question and answer it for you.

What is Renewable Energy?

This energy source has been used in many ways, but it has been taking for granted many years now. We usually don’t stop and think about these daily little miracles happening all around us. For instance the sunlight does wonderful things us. Sunlight helps us to grow our plants, fruits and vegetables. You can dry your clothes outside in the sun and white clothes even become whiter with sun rays. Every one loves to have fun in the sun, Disney World and Universal studio’s are build on location where there is a lot of sunshine and not without reason. Simply lying on the beach in the sun is done by many of us. Sunlight keeps us happy and when deprived from it humans become depressed. But sunshine can be used otherwise as well. You can convert sunshine into electricity and use it to power you home and can even give you hot water and heat your pool. Converting sunshine into energy is one of the new sources of energy.

Not only sunshine is seen as one of new sources of energy. The water we use for recreational purposes like kayaking can be used otherwise. This flowing water can also be used to generate energy.
Wind can also be used and is already used by several countries. In England and Germany the wind generators are placed on the shore where there is plenty of wind. There are also smaller wind generators available for home owners that can be used in addition to the traditional grid system.

All these mentioned energy sources are free to use to every one. Sunlight is available during the day and wind is available day and night. Flowing water can be more difficult to make use of because it is not available for every one. The availability of these sources depends where you live. You have to make sure you use the source that is applicable for your personal situation and can even combine several sources together to make the most of it. Although the sources are free, the devices used to convert these energy sources into usable energy for our homes are not. But nearly for all budgets there is a solution.

How does it work?

The traditional fossil energy sources such as coal and oil produce energy by means of combustion or burning fossil fuels. These sources work by directly converting the energy into useful forms. Sunlight is directly converted into electricity which can be used instantly.

Why do we need it?

There are several reasons why we need alternatives for the traditional energy sources. The fossil fuels reserves are diminishing and the demand for energy is rising and will increase even more. The fossil energy sources will become harder to find and even more expensive. To fight these high prices we need alternatives that are in abundance and cheap. Precisely, what these sources are: cheap and in abundance.

The combustion in traditional energy sources results in emission of harmful gases in our atmosphere that causes drastic changes in our climate. These reasons also prompt different governments to prioritize the use of renewable energy to avoid energy shortage, economic, and environmental problems.

Thus, these energy sources can go a long way in helping us achieve a stable and reliable energy supply in the future. The energy sources will be available for all and will be cheaper than traditional energy sources. What is even more important is that we will live in a world that is a better place, for us today and for future generations to come.

Affiliate programs, also called associate programs, are arrangements in which an online merchant Web site pays affiliate Web sites a commission to send them traffic.

Affiliate programs, also called associate programs, are arrangements in which an online merchant Web site pays affiliate Web sites a commission to send them traffic. These affiliate Web sites post links to the merchant site and are paid according to a particular agreement. This agreement is usually based on the number of people the affiliate sends to the merchant’s site, or the number of people they send who buy something or perform some other action. Some arrangements pay according to the number of people who visit the page containing their merchant site’s banner advertisement. Basically, if a link on an affiliate site brings the merchant site traffic or money, the merchant site pays the affiliate site according to their agreement. Recruiting affiliates is an excellent way to sell products online, but it can also be a cheap and effective marketing strategy; it’s a good way to get the word out about your site. There are at least three parties in an affiliate program transaction:

The customer

The affiliate site

The merchant sitePayment methods normally used in affiliate programs:
There are five basic types of affiliate program payment arrangements:

Pay-per-sale (also called cost-per-sale): In this arrangement, the merchant site pays an affiliate when the affiliate sends them a customer who purchases something. Some merchant Web sites, like Amazon.com, pay the affiliate a percentage of the sale and others pay a fixed amount per sale.

Pay-per-click (cost-per-click): In these programs, the merchant site pays the affiliate based on the number of visitors who click on the link to come to the merchant’s site. They don’t have to buy anything, and it doesn’t matter to the affiliate what a visitor does once he gets to the merchant’s site.

Pay-per-lead (cost-per-lead): Companies with these programs pay their affiliates based on the number of visitors they refer who sign up as leads. This simply means the visitor fills out some requested information at the merchant site, which the merchant site may use as a sales lead or sell to another company as a sales lead.

Two-tier programs: These affiliate programs have a structure similar to multilevel marketing organizations (also known as “network marketing”).In addition to receiving commissions based on sales, clicks or leads stemming from their own site, affiliates in these programs also receive a commission based on the activity of affiliate sites they refer to the merchant site.

Residual Programs: Affiliates in these programs can keep making money off a visitor they send to the site if the visitor continues to purchase goods or services from the merchant site. Many online merchants who receive regular payments from their customers (such as monthly service fees) run this sort of affiliate program.Additionally, there are a few pay-per-impression affiliate programs. Companies running these programs, also called pay-per-view programs, pay affiliates based only on the number of visitors who see their banner ad.

Affiliate networks, or “affiliate brokers,” act as mediators between affiliates and merchant Web sites with affiliate programs. They track all activity, arrange all payment, and help affiliates set up the necessary links on their Web site. Additionally, affiliate networks help recruit affiliates by including an online merchant’s affiliate program in their directory. Different affiliate networks offer different extra features, but most have a help-center and a place affiliates and merchants can go to view reports of their traffic. Affiliate networks are a real convenience for prospective affiliates because they present a wide variety of affiliate programs in one central location. They make it much easier to find a good program that is appropriate for your site.

How to implement Affiliate Programs:

If you are interested in getting involved in affiliate programs, the first thing you have to do is decide whether you want to become an affiliate, want to acquire affiliates, or both.

Join as Affiliate: If you run a small content site as a hobby and would simply like to bring in a little money to cover production costs, you can join as an affiliate. Becoming an affiliate is relatively easy. Go to an affiliate network site and fill out an online application to become a member. The application will ask for some personal information (name, address, payment method) and information on your site (URL, name, and description of content) and will have you agree to a service agreement. Most affiliate networks are completely free for affiliates.

If the affiliate network approves your application, you can begin picking affiliate programs that interest you. Once you’ve chosen some affiliate programs, the online merchants running these programs will have the opportunity to review your site. If they approve you, the affiliate network will walk you through the process of posting the appropriate links, which come directly from the network’s site. They will also establish payment arrangements with you. Because the amount of money you earn per action can be extremely small, most affiliate networks have a set minimum payout amount. This means you won’t receive a check until the total money owed you reaches a certain amount. After you have set all this up and the affiliate network has explained its system to you, you can get back to work on your Web site’s content and wait for your money to come in.

Acquiring Affiliate: If you run an e-commerce site and would like to increase your sales, you might want to start your own affiliate program. Your best bet is probably joining an affiliate network. An affiliate network will help you set up an affiliate program and work to recruit affiliates for you. You’ll have to fill out an application describing the nature of your business and your Web site. You’ll also have to agree to the terms of the affiliate network and make a number of deposits. These will probably include a one time charge for becoming a member of the network as well as a deposit to be used to pay your affiliates. Some affiliate networks also charge a yearly fee for their services. To join one of the major affiliate networks you’ll probably have to put up between $1,000 and $5,000. You will also pay the affiliate network a percentage of every payout to an affiliate. In return, the affiliate network will help you set everything up, keep track of all the activity in your affiliate program, issue your affiliates checks and distribute your links to appropriate affiliates. They will give you the option of reviewing prospective affiliates, or you can choose to accept all interested affiliates automatically.

The alternative to acquiring affiliates, maintaining an affiliate program yourself, is significantly more complicated. Among other things, you would have to screen and recruit all affiliates yourself, purchase and maintain some sort of tracking technology, instruct your affiliates on how to set up links to your site, set up an accounting system for paying all of your affiliates and set up a help line to assist all your affiliates. There are a number of traffic-tracking software applications that will probably cost between $100 and $500, significantly less than joining an affiliate network. Another option is to sign on to a company that keeps track of the traffic involved in your affiliate program by running it through their site on the way to yours. Using one of these companies costs about the same as tracking software, and they also only assist you in tracking. Maintaining the business end of an affiliate program is more than we can explore in this article, which is a good indicator it is also more than most Web sites would want to get into.

To create your own affiliate program you can use the software too. Like AFFPLANT software of Affplanet.com which is available at there site at http://www.affplanet.com/?lid=f1f483a3&a_aid=4c7ff379&a_bid=0ad7b67d.
Methods for linking: An affiliate (Publisher) can link to a merchant site in a number of ways. The best link choice depends on the nature of the affiliate and the nature of the merchant. Each kind of link is specially suited for particular purposes. Common types of links include:

Text links.

Banner links

Search box
There are several ways affiliate programs use these links:

Link to the home page: This is a straight-forward link to the merchant’s home page.

If you are an inventor or an entrepreneur, obtaining venture capital funding is most likely a major concern for you and your business. During the dot com boom, venture capitalists were fueling the growth, research, and ventures of many new companies. Now that the dot com boom has cooled, those worried about obtaining venture capital for business startup may have a more difficult time securing funding for their budding business.

Venture capital money can come in many different forms. There are actually companies that specialize in researching new companies to invest in, in order to earn a modest return on their investors money. These companies receive thousands of requests for funding monthly and may decide to fund one to two small start-ups a month. Some venture capital companies specialize in specific projects such as real estate or a technology based company. Many large, corporate construction projects are funded via some sort of venture capital agreement.

Another way to obtain venture capital for a business start up is through angel investors. An angel investor can be an individual or a group of investors that gather in order to decide which businesses have the most likely hood of succeeding. Once a business has been selected, the paperwork is drafted for the loan agreement and the business start up is funded by the individual or group angel investors. This method of obtaining venture capital for business startup may also be called hard money or hard money lending.

Recently, obtaining venture capital for business startup has come to reality television. The reality show focused on inventors that had developed a product for introduction to the retail market. The investor was coached and given seed money in order to fully develop their product. This competition played out over several months on reality television with a winner being chosen at the end. The winner was chose based upon how the judges rated the potential retail market success of the inventors product. This reality show was a neat little twist to the venture capital process.

If all of this has you a bit concerned or confused about obtaining venture capital for business startup, there is a bit of good news. The good news is that there is still capital available. If you have a solid business plan or product that you are seeking funding for, your chances are relatively high of getting the funding that you need. Venture capitalists may not be throwing money around like they once were but there is still money available for those that are deemed fit via a solid business plan.

A look at Team Building and what it is exactly! There are so many ways to go about bringing a group of people together. Each team is individual and it's not as simple as it seems to make them work more effectively together. There are a number of factors up for discussion...

This document is all about understanding teams and team building training; the purpose of team building activities; why corporate team building events can be effective; planning a team building strategy; building creative teams.

Why have a team building activity or event?

This is a phrase we hear a lot these days: ‘we need some kind of teambuilding activity’. Corporate team building events are on the increase: everyone seems to be having them these days. But are they living up to expectations?

See, from our point of view, often the people talking about team building don’t really know what they mean.

The reality is, that many, if not most, team building activities don’t work. They should. All that thought, effort, money, planning should make your team building event exciting, worthwhile and productive.

It’s as if we all know that teams are good. We understand the sum of the parts thing, but we don’t quite know how to make a team work in the way we’d like it to, so we think, ‘My team isn’t working as well as it could; a team building will sort it all out.’

Why a team building event?

When people say they want a team building event their picture is of this perfectly working group of people. But they don’t take the time to pin that picture down and really get clear what the issues are. If they did that then their team building activity would certainly help them get their team working more effectively.

So, before you can even tackle the ‘how’ you need to tackle the ‘why’.

Here are some questions that will help you clarify ‘why a team building event’.

Do you want people working better together?

Do you want to set new team goals and agreements?

Do you need to iron out communication difficulties that have crept in?

Do you want a jolly – to reward the team for being terrific?

Do you simply want to get everyone’s creative juices going and brainstorm new ideas?

Do you need to set clear parameters and boundaries so everyone knows what’s expected of them?

Do you want to inject some fresh enthusiasm and energy into a group that’s been working too hard and may have lost sight of the goal posts?

Have the goals posts moved and you need to let everyone know that?

Benefits of team building activity

A good corporate team building event can tackle many of the challenges facing your team. There are real payoffs and advantages to being part of a well-functioning team. To begin with, it’s just pleasanter being around people who get on.

More importantly, real benefits include:

A feeling of identity

On-going support

Creative pooling of ideas

Increased confidence

Things tend to work better as a result of team effort

You aren’t alone

Goals that make sense

You don’t have to keep reinventing the wheel

If you do have to reinvent the wheel for some reason, so is everyone else in the team

A team building training can address a huge range of issues you may be facing and certainly make work a better place to be.

How teams work

What is a team?

It may help you decide what your team building activity is going to look like if you understand a bit more about how teams work. And, get this – no matter what the books say (and there are plenty of them) – every single team is different: there is no model you can follow that will create the perfect team.

You’ll read that you need ideas people, drivers, completer-finishers, etc., etc., etc. And yes, possibly you do need a variety of ‘types’. But for our money, the ‘types’ are far less important than ensuring that your team knows why it exists and what its aims are.

So let’s look first at just exactly what being a team means. You might think that the very word ‘team’ is clear in and of itself: a group of people working towards shared goals. We wish it were that straightforward. As it isn’t, we thought we would unpick it a bit.

Sports teams

The most obvious kind of team that everyone knows about is a sports team. Every team member is on the same side trying to beat the opposition. They train together, get to understand how to make the most of each other’s skills, and when working well, they are able to fulfil the manager or coach’s strategy.

They know who their opposition is and they have very clear goals. Yes, there may be personality quirks and differences, but the whole truly is greater than the sum of its parts.

Work teams

However, it’s not quite so straightforward when it comes to work teams, though, is it? Personalities, which in a sporting context might get absorbed by the team for the good of the game, often take centre stage in the workplace.

The oddest thing of all, of course, is that it’s not always clear who the ‘opposition’ is. You’d think it would be the competition – whoever your closest corporate rival is. Unfortunately, far too often, the opposition turns out to be right at home base: another team or department, the ‘management’ or someone sitting right beside you.

The common enemy

Now the thing about ‘opposition’ is that it gives a common focus, a common ‘enemy’ if you will. Now that’s great if it’s productive. Creative ideas can pour out of a group when they have to figure out how to handle the competition.

However, when the common enemy is someone or some group or some department, or the ‘them’ and ‘they’ are within the same company, the results are divisiveness, gossip, complaining. The end result of this is, of course, a loss of productivity and people working against, not for each other.

Then it’s all about ‘them’ and ‘us’, with people running around using their energies to get more of ‘us’ to agree just what’s wrong with ‘them’. We see this in company after company after company – people are spending vast amounts of time and energy having a ‘go’ at each other rather than using that same amount of time and energy to make things work better.

This is one of the key reasons why team building is such a hot topic. People can easily recognise that something needs to be done, but they aren’t quite sure what.

Defining your team

Kinds of teams

These days we see a lot of ‘virtual’ teams – people who hardly ever see each other, or even work in the same office or even the same country.

Then there are teams that all sit in an open plan space and chat with each other all day as things arise.

There are teams where people sit in separate spaces and get together once a day/week/fortnight.

There are teams that seem to do all their communicating via e-mail or conference calls.

There are teams that work on projects together and others where people go off and do their own thing and come together every once in a while to report and bring everyone else up to date.

Whatever your team looks like, however, it still has to be able to function well and achieve its goals.

What teams aren’t

They don’t have to be a family

People don’t have to be bosom buddies

People don’t even have to like each enough to want to have dinner together

Teams aren’t group therapy

Teams can, however, on occasion, be any or all of those things.

Team building training

Effective team building

Teams are complex machines and it’s not surprising that they malfunction occasionally or need re-alignment. Every once in a while all teams need an MOT, so of course, you want to ensure that your team building event is as effective as it can be.

The one thing that everyone recognises is that your team building activity needs to be done away from the office environment. The idea is to slow things right down; to get away from e-mails, phone calls, questions and demands, being asked to pop into unscheduled meetings, people dropping by.

It means getting away from all the day-to-day stuff that sometimes makes it hard to see what’s going on and what’s needed.

Here are a few hints and tips to make planning your team building event more effective:

Everyone needs to have some input into what the team building event should accomplish

Listen carefully to people’s concerns and incorporate them in the team building training

No one should ever be put on the spot or humiliated

People shouldn’t be forced to do things they don’t want to

People learn better when they’re having fun

Focus on the positives of the team rather than just what isn’t working

Team building activities

Once you know what you want your event to achieve, then you can decide what it’s going to look like. You can do the go-carting thing, the throwing people off Welsh mountains thing. You can have the cosy get-away in a country hotel thing. You can have it non-stop fun, be business focused or have a bit of both.

There are hundreds of different team building exercises, games, workshops, courses, all designed to get your team working better and handling the day-to-day challenges in the workplace.

There is no ‘right’ kind of team building activity, only the one that’s right for you.

The key always is to ensure that your event has a positive effect on the morale, motivation, confidence and effectiveness of the team and its individual members.
